Growing Together: Highlights from Our "Growing Food at Home" Course

Last term, our Neighbourhood House had the pleasure of running the popular "Growing Food at Home" course, and what a journey it was!

This course, designed for beginner and seasoned gardeners alike, brought together a group of enthusiastic participants eager to enhance their skills in sustainable, homegrown produce.

Led by a passionate local gardening expert, the course spanned six weeks and covered everything from soil preparation and seed selection to pest management and harvesting techniques. Each session was hands-on, with participants rolling up their sleeves and applying their newfound knowledge in a practical, supportive environment.

One of the most rewarding aspects of the course was the sense of community it fostered. Participants shared their experiences, swapped tips, and even exchanged cuttings and seeds. The class quickly became a hub of encouragement and inspiration.

If you missed out, don't worry! Keep an eye on our website and social media for updates on future gardening courses and events.

Alternatively, you can fill out an expression of interest form here and we will be in contact with you.

Let's keep growing together!
