Location: The Hub: 155 Oriel Road, Heidelberg West.
Summary: Provide part-time administrative support and oversee daily office operations while delivering assistance to the Chief Executive, coordinators, teaching staff, volunteers, students, and community members.
ABOUT OLYMPIC NEIGHBOURHOOD HOUSE
Olympic Neighbourhood House Inc (ONH) is a not-for-profit registered charity, a Learn Local and Neighbourhood House, operating in the heart of West Heidelberg, we provide a safe space for people to learn and connect with others.
Initially established to improve education, employment, health, and social cohesion outcomes for the community of West Heidelberg, ONH has become a safe haven and lifeline for our community. In addition, ONH delivers community engagement projects encouraging well-being and social interaction.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We're looking for a friendly and organised Admin Officer to be the first point of contact at our office and provide essential support to our team. This is a fixed-term, maternity leave replacement position. In this role, you'll assist with the daily operations of the office while offering administrative support to the Chief Executive, coordinators, teaching staff, volunteers, students, and community members. SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Management Skills
Set priorities, manage own time, organise own work within agreed timelines
Ability to support and supervise others and to work effectively as team member
Ability to work within the organisation’s Code of Practice, Policies and Procedures
Interpersonal Skills
Ability to provide high quality customer service
Ability to lead by example by acting with a high degree of professionalism
Ability to show respect for and empathise with relevant client groups
Ability to work independently as well as work with others in a team
Demonstrated ability to work with a wide variety of people, in particular, people who are experiencing disadvantage relating to economic, educational or language difficulties and/or physical, intellectual or learning disabilities
Desirable
Familiarity with the Student Management System - Social Planet
Familiarity with Learn Local and RTO operations
SCREENING CRITERIA
A satisfactory National Police check and ongoing validation
Current working with children’s check (WWCC) and ongoing validation
Current first aid and CPR certificate (desirable)
Current drivers' license and own transport is preferred
